Welcome to Petersburg Regional Art Center, one of the largest art centers in Virginia

Petersburg Regional Art Center is located in Historic Petersburg Virginia. PRAC has a monthly juried all media art show with $600 in award money. The reception is the second Friday evening of each month. The center has several new art displays every month in the Mezzanine Gallery. PRAC has artist studios on four floors featuring a variety of work from many artists. Visit us soon!

Hours
We are open from 10 AM until 4 PM Wednesday through Saturday and other hours by appointment. The art center is open for the second Friday reception every month until 10 PM.

Juror is Valery Bates, a photographer with a background education from V.C.U. She is also a member of multiple photo organizations such as The Richmond Camera Club, The Photographic Society of America, and The National Association of Photoshop Professionals. Her PH.D is in Mass Communications from Howard University.

Open to all high school and college students
Up to three entries per student - all pieces must be framed with wire on back and ready to hang except 3-D entries

• • • Featured Artist for the Month of May will be Braeden Web
Greg Lewis a.k.a. Toothpick Man will here with his grandson, Braeden Web. At only 5 years old, Braeden is an amazing up and coming toothpick artist himself. Braeden shows great control and patience when it comes to working on his toothpick pieces. Come on out this Friday for the Arts! and see what this little dude can do.

• • • June All Media Show Friday, June 14th, 7pm
Juror is Adrienne Azhderian-Kelly, Adrienne is a Richmond, Virginia based artist who specializes in traditional film and silver printed photography. Adrienne has won numerous awards in photography, and has had many solo and group exhibitions. Adrienne Azhderian-Kelly was born in Washington, D.C. and began making photographs of the southern landscape in 1982. Since then, she has been passionately involved in the arts and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Intermont College, Bristol, Virginia in 1991, and her Master of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia in 1997. She has worked as a commercial free-lance photographer, operated her own photography studio in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Adrienne has been an adjunct professor of photography at Virginia Commonwealth University and has been an adjunct assistant professor of darkroom photography at University of Richmond since 1998.

The arrow points to the Petersburg Regional Art Center building. The building was built in 1858 and it was formerly a department store and a furniture store before becoming the art center. It has four floors and a basement. Three floors and the basement have studios. There are two large art galleries. Openings are the second Friday of each month. There are directions on this page.
